🐵 Skoda Octavia Sat Nav Not Working

Here it is again, and I'll leave it be for now. However the updates appear to be for the latest generation of Columbus and Amundsen+ as featured in the new Octavia. The updates require a SD Card to load them, which we all know is not possible on the older generation of Columbus. Having just installed my Columbus, i am struggling to set a route. For example, i live in sunny stockton-on-tees (where a gold medalist comes from) and input a route to dorchester, dorset. I gives me 3 options, all go around Birmingham. I have used both keys and become the primary driver. Ive had the car 1wk. Ive notice the system does not save any settings. Ie. Home address on sat nav. Comprehensive or Brief on sat nat. Road signs on or off. Sat nat favourites or last destination. So, if the hybrid system can self tune, it may be able to use the navigation Db when approaching a long descent regardless of route guidance or not; or whether Waze is in use or not. This indicates the serial number, warranty etc. The instruction for update begins with 'remove the SD card from slot 2'. I find the brochure for the Octavia pretty rubbish and it could make it far clearer that the heads up display doesn’t include traffic sign recognition. If you have an Amundsen sat nav then you MUST use a Skoda SD card as it contains hidden secure data which the Amundsen requires to identify the SD card.
