2015 5.0 Crankshaft position sensor relearn. Hello everyone, this is my first post. I had the code for crankshaft position sensor, P0339. The MAP sensor measures the absolute pressure inside the intake manifold of the engine. At sea level, atmospheric pressure is about 14.7 psi (pounds per square inch). When the engine is off, the absolute pressure inside the intake equals atmospheric pressure, so the MAP will indicate about 14.7 psi. At a perfect vacuum, the MAP sensor will read

The basic components you’ll need to inspect are the timing chain and the sensors and tone rings for both the camshaft and crankshaft. These components will all lead to trouble code P0016. As your timing chain or belt wears, it may loose teeth or begin to stretch out. This could cause a simple misalignment between the crankshaft and camshaft.
P0016 should be considered an important trouble code to diagnose and repair. The crank and cam sensors work in tandem to produce the ideal air/fuel ratio for your engine. When this timing is off, the engine will typically not run (or barely run) Here are the major symptoms of P0016 in the Mondeo: Failure to start. Rattle coming from the motor.
Hi, Here is diagram and photo of CKP, hope it helps: REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . See Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 . The CKP sensor is located on the rear of the engine and is triggered by the flywheel on the 2.0L engine, and it is located on the front of the engine and is triggered by a pulse wheel behind the crankshaft damper and inside the front cover on the 2.5L engine.
The CKP sensor is also an inductive pulse generator, like the CMP which scans 36 minus 1 cast protrusions on the flywheel. Minus one means that one of the protrusions is missing. This missing protrusion is located at 90º before top dead center and is used by the powertrain control module as a reference mark for the crankshaft position.
