Id say the C7 A6 Would be a fairer comparison, its just that much better so either the C7 or B9 choice is great over the B8.5. The B8 interior is ancient, even my 2005 C6 A6 had the same interior, and that car was better than the B8, the C7 has a beautiful interior but its ageing so if interior was that important the B9 is a no brainer.

Take a battery reading with the engine off, start the engine and take another reading. A healthy lead acid car battery should be around 12.5 volts at rest. You should be seeing around 14.5-ish volts with the engine running right after a start. It will drop down to the low 14's after 15-20 minutes as the battery recovers.

That only makes sense with spacers larger than the widest rim width the car comes with. On the RS6/7 you can have 9J or 9.5J wheels and the extra 0.5J is equivalent to 12.7mm so running 12mm spacers is no different, running 15mm marginally more but I would suggest within tolerance.
